Nigerian Cooperative Societies Act (Cap N98, LFN 2004)

• Admissibility of Digital Records (Section 9): TrustCoop maintains high-integrity transaction logs. Under Section 9(1) of the Act, digital entries "regularly kept in the course of business" are admissible as prima facie evidence in legal proceedings.
• Audit Readiness (Section 36): The system generates automated financial statements (Income & Expenditure, Balance Sheets) in formats that satisfy the statutory annual audit requirements mandated by the Director of Cooperatives.
• Membership Integrity (Section 8): Our automated Register of Members satisfies the legal requirement to maintain accurate dates of entry and cessation of membership for every individual.
• Bye-Law Enforcement (Section 11): TrustCoop's core logic including interest rates, loan ceilings, and contribution frequencies is customizable to mirror the specific Registered Bye-laws of each society.

Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023

• Data Sovereignty: As an automated processor, TrustCoop adheres to the Data Minimization and Security principles of the NDPA. We ensure that sensitive financial data is encrypted and only processed on a lawful basis (performance of the cooperative contract).
