1. Introduction

Welcome to TrustCoop ("Platform", "we", "our", "us"). TrustCoop is a digital platform designed to help cooperatives manage members, savings, loans, and related administrative activities.

By accessing or using TrustCoop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or the legal age in your jurisdiction.
  • Have the authority to act on behalf of a cooperative if registering as a cooperative administrator or staff.
  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration.

3. Account Types

TrustCoop supports multiple account roles, including:

  • Cooperative Administrators
  • Cooperative Staff
  • Cooperative Members

Each role has different access rights. You are responsible for all activities conducted under your account.

4. Account Security

You agree to:

  • Keep your login credentials confidential.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.
  • Accept responsibility for all actions taken through your account.

TrustCoop is not liable for losses caused by compromised accounts due to user negligence.

5. Use of the Platform

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activities.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation.
  • Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Cooperative Operations

TrustCoop provides technology infrastructure only. We:

  • Do not control cooperative decisions.
  • Do not guarantee loan approvals, repayments, or financial outcomes.
  • Are not a bank or licensed financial institution unless otherwise stated.

All financial agreements remain between cooperatives and their members.

7. Payments and Transactions

Where payment services are integrated:

  • Transaction processing may involve third-party providers.
  • Fees, if any, will be disclosed before processing.
  • We are not responsible for third-party service failures.

8. Data Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring that all information uploaded (member data, loan records, savings, etc.) is accurate and lawful.

TrustCoop is not liable for errors resulting from incorrect data provided by users.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, logos, and designs on TrustCoop are owned by or licensed to us.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without written permission.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access:

  • If you violate these Terms
  • For security, legal, or operational reasons

You may stop using the Platform at any time.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

TrustCoop is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • TrustCoop shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid (if any) in the last 12 months.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
